Counting on screenings

Screenings are a distinctly alluring breed of Tinseltownian entertainment. I mean, one is offered the opp to preview a cinematic masterpiece on the big screen. At a bougie establishment oozing with all that glitters. Before everyone else. For free. Therefore, screenings are first-rate diversions. Particularly when they transpire at the snazzified Director's Guild of America Theater on Sunset, which is currently hosting the annually heralded Asian Pacific Film Festival,to which we moseyed through habitually congested LA thoroughfares this weekend priorfor the API Count PSA Contest screening and reception,a widespread community endeavor to propel Asian-American participation in the 2010 US Census, one which resident clout-toting superstar Jarell apparently approves.Amidst gandering at the hodgepodge of entrieswith congenial chums (who are fonder of each other than the following picture implies),we caught a specific public service announcement for which we afforded an unmitigated affinity, 60 quality seconds of wit-spawned creativity wholly spearheaded by Jono:

And so, 'twas decorous to carouse afterwardwith impromptu meandering to quaint mid-century downtown-esque Larchmont Villagefor a titillatingly tasty treat or twoin the form of dangerously decadent cupcake bliss.
