Pageant picture-perfect

As foreshadowed in this previous post, Saturday's annual Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Pageant emerged as an unforgettable spectacle for it starred the one and only Janice Jann. Upon mass-texting all friendly folks the crowning aftermath at evening's end, I received the following germane reply:

"Write up a blog post ASAP, please!"

Why, much obliged.

The City of Angels' Westin Bonaventure hotel's California Ballroom hummed with the pitter patter of pageant preparatory pomp this Saturday past, but backstage I pointedly venturedto aid contestant #8as her elected personal assistant (the purpose of my current occupation unveiled!) with all that glitters pageantry, including perfecting the flashing of dazzling pearly whites, and bequeathing a calculated series of Words of encouragement betwixt each actbefore Janice made a beeline for the stage to commence the grandiositywith effortless poise, grace, and beauty that radiates from within.Janice was an irrefutably roaring crowd-pleaser, as showcased in the final judging
whence she was propitiously crowned First Princess Miss LA Chinatown 2010to append the resplendent Miss LA Chinatown 2010 Court. Her ever loyal entourage was quite pleasedto be in the midst of a princess.CONGRATULATIONS, my dear friend!!! You were indubitably breath-stealingly beautiful and amazing. Not only did you sparkle onstage with an arresting presence, but more importantly, you shone as a light throughout this journey's entirety. I've relayed to you all the sappy schtuff, but you've made us all SO proud. To God be the glory and praise Him for the opportunity to serve as a role model in the community for Him who is the ultimate role model. This is merely the commencement of such grand and perfect plans for you, and I'm so excited to see how He shall use you through this. LOVE YA.
