but through the eerily inert residences, pothole-bedecked boulevards, intoxicated nomads, dimly-lit edifices, 
decadent dirty dogs,
and faddish food trucks
we swashbuckled for the valiant Tom's epic birthday extravaganza,
which was constituted more momentous by a photo booth contraption of which we took full advantage.
