Reveling in the finishing notes

of 2009 with winter's crispity gold-tinted foliage before heralding in the spankin'-new year.
Lord, thank you for 2009. You've continued to unveil to me much too much of your overwhelming goodness this year past. I daresay I cannot wait for 2010 as you teach me to abide in you and wait upon your perfect will. Much is a-changin' upon which I shall elaborate in due time, and I'm itching to see what the Lord shall accomplish this new year. Happiest of New Year's Eves, y'all!

Divvied up

Christmastide not only with family in cheery conviviality, but also with the church family(concocted some tri-layered banana cream puddingper a friendly lad's request)(following snapshot courtesy of Mikey P.),with the brilliant bossmen at a famed froufrou joint in The Hills, the kind of establishment where lavishly pampered pooches dine at the tableand the Big Apple's most acclaimed cheesecake is freshly flown in on a daily basis(I implore you to kindly partake in the bounty of unsurpassed ethereal cheesecake splendidness with me for I've now 6 hefty pounds of the dessert thanks to the bossmen's heaping benevolence.),with chums of yore from the high school era,and with the ever needy on dilapidation-saturated Skid Row.Thank you Lord for your love that is ever evident via the ones you've placed in my life. Thank you for Christ's work on the cross that renders all of these blessings possible.

Shimmying on ice

in nippy nighttime air mere blocks from coastal shores in perpetual 70+ degree weather that SoCal deems winter seems a tad paradoxical, but SaMo made it work with its novelty-festooned outdoor ice rink, which I must say I fancy more than the glacial icebox of an indoor rink.We had a boisterous time swishing and swooshing this way and that in resolute attempt not to keel over on the congested icy playground. All I gotta say is, thank you, God, for inventing the newfangled contraption called protective railings to envelope ice rinks.Oh, 'twas dandy fun!Encore soon, so do lemme know if you're down!

Birthday Buzzmusement

A friendly chap shares his annual day of birth with the eve of Christmas, which stemmed a carnival-themed carousalentitled "Birthday Buzzmusement"in honor of the one from whose name 'tis derived, Buzz. Happiest of 22nd birthdays to you, dear flend!!! I thank the Lord for you mucho grande nachoes. I'm consistently encouraged by your faithfulness to the local church and your ever readiness to tackle any need with your multifarious gifts. Rock on for the glory of God!A bounteous spread of fresh fair fare gratified hunger pangsand nostalgia-radiating carnival games galore reminiscent of Buzz's gamemaster proclivities diverted all attendees.Only Amy would employ the ever-creative tactic of tumbling down the hill rather than hippity hopping per customary sack racing. The most notorious amusement was indubitably the art of pie chuckingat a good-natured birthday celebrant targetwho got massacred by foamy mounds of whipped cream againand again.Peachy keen times. Thanks aplenty for the teamwork, Ate Gen!
