The past month has been a dizzying whirlwind that wreaked havoc on my vulnerable immune system as the heap on my plate piled ever higher with the 4-week duration of pesky midterms, Etsy order spinning, strenuous nightly CACN rehearsals, intense internship woes a la Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada (sans fabulous haute couture perks and a to-swoon-for fairy tale ending), and the et cetera of life. I've been accumulating phlegmy monstrosities, snotty excess, and coughing up a raging storm for 3 weeks. Not attractive. My rattled body protests and pleads for a deep delicious slumber, but my incompliant schedule wins that battle every time.
Praise God for His sustaining grace. Psalm 63 is my earnest prayer during periods of weariness and pseudo-ostracism like these to remind me that He is the ultimate priority and satisfaction:
"O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands." - Psalm 63:1-4
God is so good to the undeserving, for now poor health is subsiding to good spirits, CACN has been executed with a bang, and the slew of midterms vanquished.
Alas, there're a mere 3 weeks till I pronounce toodle-loo to the undergrad episode of life. I must relish this packaged microcosm in which God has blessed me for the remaining days. Graduation weekend draws nearer each day. My belly is doing the jitterbug. Hello, nervosa.
All in all, hearty cheers to the weekend! Thank the Lord for weekends. Hear, hear?
